Hiking in the Cypress Hills Destination Area
Whether you’re just looking for an easy stroll in nature, or you’re a dedicated hiker with your tent, and all you need to stride into the wilderness strapped to your back, it would appear that hiking is one of the most favourite past-times here in the Cypress Hills Destination Area.
Not only is it one of the easiest activities to do with the whole family, regardless of whether their 1, 10 or 100! But it also is the most versatile activity depending on your needs:
- Looking for an easy family-friend hike? Try the Highland Trail in the Centre Block of Cypress Hills!
- Need a paved path that’s not too difficult to navigate? Try the Woodlands Trail in the Centre Block on the Saskatchewan side, or the Lakeside Boardwalk on the Alberta side.
- Looking for a unique landscape that will make you feel like you’re not in this world? Try the Great Sand Hills or 70 Mile Butte in Grasslands!
- Want an overnight journey where you can set up a tent? Try out the many backcountry trails in Grasslands National Park or the West Block of Cypress Hills.
No matter your age, no matter your abilities, no matter your goals – we’ve got the hiking trails for you.
