Uptown food and atmosphere at small-town prices. People ask, “Why isn’t there one in our town?”
Situated on the historic main line of the Canadian Pacific Railway in the presence of the Cypress Hills, The Star Café & Grill lives and breathes the rich culture of the rolling ranchlands. Housed in a turn-of-the-last-century building with an award-winning interior restoration, The Star boasts an airy, relaxed space which comfortably welcomes over 60 guests in the dining room and at the Long Bar. It was recently named Business of the Year under 20 Employees by Tourism Saskatchewan and one of the Top Ten Canadian Roadtrip Hotspots by the Food Network.
Rated #1 in Maple Creek by TripAdvisor, The Star offers amazing steaks, prime rib, and burgers from AAA beef, as well as an international selections of main courses cooked from raw when you order your meal. Our lunch menu features the same quality we offer in the evening, with top-quality all-beef Angus burgers and delicious slow-braised pulled pork with our house-made barbecue sauce. (One recent review calls this “the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had.”)
Fancy a cold drink on a hot summer day? We have 5 draught beers from Swift Current’s award winning Black Bridge Brewery, as well as Guinness, Stella and Strongbow, on tap, and sidewalk tables where you can sit and watch the world go by. We also cater to groups both on and off-site, with a full liquor catering license.
