Xplorers for Kids!

Do your kids like to XPLORE?

They will have FUN completing challenges and collecting COOL souvenir dog tags at Fort Walsh National Historic Site and Grasslands National Park with the Parks Canada Xplorers program!

Fort Walsh – Hey Kids! you will have an unforgettable day becoming an official Fort Walsh Xplorer.  You’ll have a blast, dressing up in their North West Mounted Police tunics, scouting the trail, loading and delivering freight, playing mountie games, building ‘shelter,’ decoding secret messages and more!  Upon completion of your duties you will receive a supercool Fort Walsh Xplorers dog tag souvenir!

Grasslands National Park – “The Wild West!” – kids will have fun discovering a secret cave, completing a hiking adventure, building a mini home, lassoing ‘Wild West-style’, river dipping, dinosaur hunting, finding their prairie vision, creating an artistic masterpiece and more! After completing the challenges, return to one of the visitor centres in the East or West Blocks of Grasslands National Park, so the kids can be officially recognized and receive their official Grasslands National Park dog tag souvenir!
