Location: Historic Reesor Ranch, SK
Snowmobiling – Cypress Hills Centre Block
Snowmobiling is allowed in a designated area of Cypress Hills Saskatchewan, but only when the snow pack has reached one foot (12 inches). As a Provincial Park care has to be taken to ensure that sensitive ecology is not damaged by the weight of the machines. Please watch this page, or follow our Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram accounts for information as to when and if the snowmobiling area opens in 2019.
Snowmobiling – The Historic Reesor Ranch
The Historic Reesor Ranch, as a private business on private land, has the ability to judge the snowpack and to allow guest staying with them to bring their own snowmobiles to areas that offer the most fun, while not damaging the eco-system.
In addition to snowmobiling, the Historic Reesor Ranch invites all of their winter guests to also bring their cross-country skis with them when they stay at the Ranch. Guests also have the option of exploring the Ranch on foot with snowshoes provided by the Ranch for guests to use, or bring a toboggan and race down the hills for a full day of winter fun. The Ranch is also close to Hidden Valley Ski Hill located within the Alberta side of the Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park.
After exploring the back country at your leisure enjoy a crackling winter campfire sipping hot cocoa and having fun with your family and friends, or retreat to a cozy cabin in the woods or to the comfort of their Old Log Barn – an ideal setting for individuals, couples, families or groups. (Note: All 3 of their cabins are winterized and available all year long).
